User Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 2026-05-27

You have the right to delete your ReelForge account and the data we hold about you at any time. This page explains what gets deleted and how to request it.

What gets deleted

On a deletion request we permanently remove:

  • Your account profile (email, name, password hash, organisation membership).
  • OAuth tokens for every social platform you connected (Instagram, YouTube, etc).
  • Playbooks, generated scripts, generated posts, and rendered media files (reels, carousel slides, thumbnails) created under your account.
  • Reference accounts you added and the scraped data associated with them.
  • Performance metrics we polled from connected platforms.

What stays

  • Posts that you already published to Instagram, YouTube, or other social platforms remain on those platforms — ReelForge cannot remove them. To remove a published post, delete it directly on the platform where it lives.
  • De-identified, aggregated operational metrics (e.g., total uploads per day) may remain in our logs for up to 90 days as part of standard operational record-keeping. These cannot be linked back to you.

How to request deletion

Email us at [email protected] from the email address associated with your ReelForge account, with the subject line "Data deletion request". Include in the body:

  • The email address on your ReelForge account (so we can locate it).
  • Confirmation that you are requesting permanent deletion of your account and associated data.

We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation when the deletion is complete.

Revoking platform access only (without deleting your account)

If you only want to revoke ReelForge's access to a specific social platform (rather than delete the whole account), you can do either of:

  • From inside ReelForge: go to Settings → Connections and click Disconnect next to the platform.
  • From the platform itself: revoke our app's access in your platform's app-permissions settings (Instagram → Settings → Apps and Websites; YouTube via Google security settings). On the next operation we attempt, the connection will be marked revoked automatically.
